Our client contracted us to build this large garden office as a home office overlooking adjacent fields in rural Devon.  Having recently moved into their newly-built house, a garden office building was integral to the family’s plans to enjoy the new location but keep the home office separate from the family home.

Garden office buildings do not always require planning permission

The project did not require planning approval as the garden office building was located with a minimum 2m gap away from the garden boundaries and the (rear) eaves height was kept down to 2.49m, by virtue of a shallow 6 degree roof pitch.
